چکیده

We consider the MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) Gaussian interference channel with i.i.d. fading across antennas and channel uses and with the delayed local channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT). For the two-user case, achievability results for the degrees of freedom (DoF) region of this channel are provided. We also prove the tightness of our achievable DoF region for some antenna configurations. Interestingly, there are some cases in which the DoF region with delayed local CSIT is identical to the DoF region with perfect CSIT and that is strictly larger than the DoF region with no CSIT. We then consider the K-user MISO (multiple-input single-output) IC and show that the degrees of freedom of this channel could be greater than one with delayed local CSIT. ∗ Financial support provided by Nortel and the corresponding matching funds by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and Ontario Centers of Excellence (OCE) are gratefully acknowledged. ∗At the final stage of this work, we realized that some parts of the material of this work have been independently reported in [11]. ar X iv :1 10 2. 56 73 v1 [ cs .I T ] 2 8 Fe b 20 11

Precoding Methods for MISO Broadcast Channel with Delayed CSIT

Recent information theoretic results suggest that precoding on the multi-user downlink MIMO channel with delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT) could lead to data rates much beyond the ones obtained without any CSIT, even in extreme situations when the delayed channel feedback is made totally obsolete by a feedback delay exceeding the channel coherence time. This surprising...

The DoF Region of the Multiple-Antenna Time Correlated Interference Channel with Delayed CSIT

We consider the time-correlated multiple-antenna interference channel where the transmitters have (i) delayed channel state information (CSI) obtained from a latency-prone feedback channel as well as (ii) imperfect current CSIT, obtained e.g. from prediction on the basis of these past channel samples. We derive the degrees of freedom (DoF) region for the two-user multiple-antenna interference c...

Mimo Interfering Broadcast Channels Based on Local Csit

The Interfering Broadcast Channel (IBC) applies to the downlink of cellular and heterogenous networks, which are limited by multi-user interference. The interference alignment (IA) concept has shown that interference does not need to be inevitable. In particular spatial IA in MIMO IBC allows for low latency and requires little diversity. However, IA requires perfect and typically global Channel...

Symmetric Two-User MIMO BC and IC with Evolving Feedback

Extending recent findings on the two-user MISO broadcast channel (BC) with imperfect and delayed channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT), the work here explores the performance of the two user MIMO BC and the two user MIMO interference channel (MIMO IC), in the presence of feedback with evolving quality and timeliness. Under standard assumptions, and in the presence of M antennas pe...

Interference Alignment with Imperfect Channel Knowledge and Secrecy Constraints pdfsubject=Doctoral Thesis

In this thesis, the degrees of freedom (DOF) of wireless networks are studied with imperfect channel state information at transmitters (CSIT) and/or secrecy constraints. Different interference alignment schemes are proposed to establish the DOF lower bound for a variety of wireless networks. For the imperfections of CSIT, we mainly have two practical concerns. The first concern is the long dela...
